This milestone is especially significant as we have partnered with Pinellas County to develop and implement the Risk Protection Order (RPO) feature within the CloudGavel system. As the first of our clients to utilize this groundbreaking tool, Pinellas County is setting a new standard for the expedient processing and examination of RPOs issued in the county. This transformative approach advances how RPOs are handled and streamlines the process for this law enforcement tool.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is leading the adoption of the CloudGavel RPO feature, revolutionizing how RPOs are initiated. This technology allows them to request RPOs directly through the sheriff’s office, streamlining the process to be more efficient. With this proactive approach, RPOs are quickly processed through the county system via CloudGavel, ensuring prompt judicial review and approval. This speed is vital in situations where every moment counts.
After judicial approval, CloudGavel assists in promptly filing the RPO with the Clerk of Court. The order is then returned to the sheriff’s office, where PCSO’s Threat Management Unit ensures it is served.
The impact of this pioneering effort cannot be overstated. By ensuring that RPOs are served swiftly, Pinellas County is providing law enforcement with the tools they need to take immediate action against threats.
